I didn’t grow up in a shoeless home, but after that story, I started thinking differently about what our shoes bring inside — the germs, the grime, and everything else from the outside world. I began taking my shoes off at the door and leaving the mess outside where it belongs.
When friends or family visited, though, there was always that awkward moment — to ask, or not to ask? There never seemed to be a graceful way to handle it.

Years later, as a new mom watching my daughter crawl and explore, I wanted to create a cleaner, safer home — without making anyone uncomfortable. That’s when Piglets came to life: a thoughtful, reusable way to reduce germs while keeping everyone at ease.
Today, these reusable shoe covers are about more than just clean floors, they’re about creating welcoming, worry-free spaces for the people (and little ones) we love most. Because when it comes to a clean, happy home, it’s always smart to cover your tracks.
When I was working as a journalist in San Diego, I covered a Hepatitis A outbreak that swept through downtown and learned
that the virus can live on
surfaces for months!
That fact stuck with me.

"My wife is especially happy that I'm not tracking dirt or dog hair through the house anymore. They've held up great after multiple washes and are way easier to use than the disposable ones. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to keep their home clean without the hassle!"
